Job Requirements for a Soul Shoppe Facilitator
We’re looking for an experienced facilitator – maybe someone who has had experience with a similar company in our field, has led Challenge Days, Mosaic, Seeds or Playworks – or who taught elementary school (and is super hip and relatable to kids). People of color STRONGLY encouraged to apply.
IF YOU ARE:
- Charismatic, hip, youthful, compassionate and trustworthy
- A dynamic story-teller who can weave in inspirational teachings
- Energetic with stamina to facilitate many large groups throughout an entire school day
- A great communicator and committed to your own transformational journey
- Organized and able to manage communications with schools, teachers, students and our office effectively
- Able to drive to schools all around the SF Bay Area, from Tracy to Pittsburg, Novato to San Jose (you have a car)
- Available to train part time now through September and work part time through May and beyond
THEN WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU!
Soul Shoppe facilitators work part time, 2-3 days per week from September through May, facilitating workshops in elementary schools around the Bay Area. We train facilitators thoroughly before you walk into schools for Soul Shoppe, then we co-lead with you until you are ready to lead on their own. Facilitators are assigned to specific schools based on school needs and have a special relationship with each school they serve. Training is not paid, but people pay thousands to get the facilitation, communication and personal growth skills we teach you for free during training! Facilitators will earn $275-$325 per day after training, and be expected to work 2-3 days per week on an elementary school year schedule.
We hire through group interviews/auditions called Stand & Deliver, which we’ll be holding in late July, early August. Once you’ve passed auditions, we’ll offer you a training schedule and set you up for success in schools.
