This site includes lesson plans, resources, and an explanation of the “Six Pillars of Character.” Character Counts! is a nonprofit coalition of organizations, schools, and communities that have committed to instilling the core values in young people.

A great resource for parents and teachers to inform themselves on the subject, this site features information, statistics, advice, consequences, etc. on bullying. The information is excerpted from A.S.A.P., A School-based Anti-Violence Program. A.S.A.P. which is available from the London Family Court Clinic.

Bullying.org – “Where You Are Not Alone”

This Canadian site has a variety of features devoted to informing people about the dangers of bullying, as well as supporting victims of bullying. The site also includes drawings, poems, stories, etc. submitted by visitors to the site. Children will enjoy the browser-based game in which they paint a hero and a bully, then rescue students and recover lunch money in a series of mazes.

This site, which is put out by the Psychology Department of the Toronto Catholic District School Board, outlines the issues related to bullying and offers advice to parents on how to deal with children who are either being bullied or bullying others.

Children who visit this site start by doing a profile of themselves--who they can talk to about issues, what makes them happy & sad, and who are their friends. Then they have the opportunity to explore the many roles within a bullying situation (ex-by stander, bully, victims) through cartoon characters. My 6th grade students truly enjoyed the site & found it quite helpful. Available in both English and Spanish.
